New Providence

New Providence which is one of the smaller islands in the country is the most populous island in the Bahamas with the city of Nassau being the nation’s capital containing more than 70% of the country’s total population. It is the center of industry and commerce and is one of the touristic capitals of the world. This island serves as an interesting blend of old-world colonial architecture including forts and famous landmarks with vast straw markets, and boasts of hospitable people combined with sophisticated new world luxury.
